Updates!

From a beautiful birthday in Bali with the most wonderful crew in the world, to getting to see my loving and oh-so-welcoming Indonesian family (see pictures below), and to discovering the most delicious snack in the world in Singapore (a slab of mocha ice cream in between pink and green dyed wonder bread), the journey will soon continue to Bangkok in 48 hours!

Being in Singapore reminds me a lot of the states. Very diverse, a lot of malls, and expensive. It has been lovely here, and I have surprisingly eaten more Indian food here than I have in my entire life, but Singapore....I would really like more....but it's time to leave....fo sho. My favorite part of Singapore is Little India....and it's not just because I look like a Big Indian. It's a lively atmosphere, with beautiful smells and inspiring colors.

I have stayed pretty healthy (besides maybe having malaria) and have managed to not squish any asians or be bitten by any monkeys....however the quest to be adopted into a gibbon family is still being pursued and might be obtained in Laos at a gibbon sanctuary (fingers crossed!)

Farewell dinner with the fam bam
